Official Internship Notification Overview

The Chair for Consumer Research and Policy (CCRP) at NUSRL Ranchi has invited applications for Legal Internship from law students and students of other academic backgrounds interested in consumer law research, policy analysis, drafting, and academic engagement.

The Chair was established in October 2024 by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Government of India to act as a Think Tank for consumer law research, awareness, and policy discourse.

This internship offers a rare opportunity to work directly on consumer protection law, research projects, workshops, awareness programmes, and policy drafting initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria

Internship is open to students from recognized law and other institutions.

Eligible candidates:

• 2nd & 3rd year of 3-Year LL.B course
• 2nd year onwards in 5-Year Integrated LL.B
• LL.M students
• Students from NIT, National Institute of Design and other academic backgrounds

This makes the internship interdisciplinary and open to research-oriented candidates.

Selection Process (Three-Tier)

The selection is rigorous and research-oriented:

Stage I — CV Evaluation

Screening based on academics, research aptitude, skills, and suitability.

Stage II — Work / Draft Evaluation

Shortlisted candidates must submit:

• Drafting samples
• Research papers
• Designing portfolio
• Other work prescribed by the Chair

Stage III — Interview

Online/Offline interview assessing:

• Subject knowledge
• Research interest
• Communication skills
• Suitability for CCRP work

Decision of the Chair is final and binding.
