Official Internship Notification Overview

The Centre for Research and Planning (CRP), Supreme Court of India invited applications under the Internship Scheme dated 22 January 2024.

CRP is the policy and research centre of the Supreme Court and works on judicial reforms, legal research, planning initiatives and justice delivery studies. The internship is conducted on a rolling basis throughout the year.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Applicants must:

1. Be enrolled in a law degree programme recognised by the Bar Council of India.
2. Be in:
   • 4th or 5th year of a five-year law programme; OR
   • 3rd year of a three-year LL.B programme.
3. Candidate must be below 28 years of age.

Application Process

Applicants must apply through the official online application form.

The application requires:

1. Curriculum Vitae (maximum 2 pages)
2. Statement of Purpose (350–500 words)
3. Writing Sample (1500–3000 words) demonstrating legal analysis and writing ability.

Selection Process

Stage-1: Application Screening

Applications are reviewed on:

1. Academic eligibility
2. SOP quality
3. Legal writing sample
4. Internship suitability

Stage-2: Telephonic Interview (If Required)

CRP may conduct a telephonic interview wherever considered necessary.

Internship Conditions

1. Minimum internship period: 4 weeks
2. Interns must be physically present at CRP office, Supreme Court of India, New Delhi.
3. Office timings:
   • Monday–Friday: 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM
   • Saturday: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
4. Interns are expected to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
